Loss & Bereavement
Losing someone whether it be the end of a relationship, a death of a loved one or a loss of job can be heart breaking. I work with clients to help make sense of their loss in order that they can move on with their lives to feel happy again. I also have undertaken significant bereavement training with CRUSE and I am a certified practitioner of the Pregnancy and Infant loss Foundation.
Grief is not time-limited and will vary from person to person. There is no standard emotional response when suffering from loss and bereavement. People of any age can suffer which can cause a strain on our everyday lives. It can take a long time to adapt to life after loss. You may have trouble sleeping, feel angry, experience changes in your appetite, inability to concentrate or have feelings of guilt. These emotions may be intense but they are also normal reactions to such a profound loss. However, if you’d like an informal discussion to discuss the possibility of starting therapy then please phone or send me a text/email. Moreover, please look at my resources section of this website for a range of organisations that can help you.
